Couples Night/Youth Activity

New Date: Friday March 1

This coming Friday evening at 6:30 we will host a couples night out and a youth activity.

Couples will be enjoying a Western Theme with Fried Chicken and all the fixins in the fellowship hall. A guest speaker will give a short inspirational message about unity and oneness in marriage. All couples welcome! A call to the church office to R.S.V.P. would be helpful so that we have enough food. There will be an opportunity to have your picture taken with your spouse, door prizes, laughs, and games.

R.S.V.P. (573) 547-8960

Youth Activity:
While the couples are meeting there will be games and fun activities for young people below. We have been working to remodel and prepare space for youth ministry. It is still a work in progress, but we would like to start the fun on Friday February 15 by inviting youth (up to pre-teens) from our community to come join us. There will be pizza served (an R.S.V.P. would also be helpful).

If you would like to join us let us know so we can order enough pizza! (573) 547-8960

Winter Weather 2-10-19

Heartland Baptist Church will have morning services this morning. The road conditions are good on main roads. Secondary roads are good with the exception of a few spots. County roads are fair with the exception of areas where trees are shading the road from the south side. The most treacherous locations seem to be between the house and the car. Please use caution if you are coming to the services this morning.

One Another (ing)

Life and living is made up of relationships. The difference between looking at your life and saying, “I have a good life,” or “I have a rotten life,” is the difference of relationships. If you have good relations with people you will perceive your life as good, and if your relationship with people is rotten you will have the perception of a rotten life.

The Bible says, Proverbs 18:24a A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly… so… generally speaking, how you treat others will to a large extent determine whether you have a “good” or a “rotten” life.

Sure, just because you treat people the right way does not guarantee that they will treat you right, but, treating people rotten is almost a guarantee that they will not treat you good.

Over the next few months I will be sharing what the Bible says about how we should be “one-to-another” on Sunday evenings. Last Sunday’s sermon on Loving one another is currently available to listen to on our sermons page.

Online Donations

After several requests and a few years we are finally set up to accept on-line donations. The Donations page is set up to accept donations in $1 increments that will go directly into the bank account of Heartland Baptist Church.

Winter Weather 1/20/2019

It looks as though the weather will prevent us from having services on Jan 20. The road crews have a nearly impossible job ahead of them clearing the ice so we will be forced to cancel our services.

As an alternative to getting out on the slick road ways you can listen to one of the previously recorded sermons on our sermons page or you can go to www.fbtministries.org and watch their services live at 10 a.m. Eastern/9 a.m. Central time.
