17th Anniversary Week

John 3:15-21

" That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

The week of our 17th anniversary meeting and the dedication of our building was filled with blessings and fond memories. We began the meeting with powerful preaching on Sunday. Then on Monday a crew of men from Fairfax Baptist Temple arrived to work on the building throughout the week.  Each day the men worked their hearts out to help remodel the building, and every evening we heard preaching from a variety of pastors and evangelist. On Thursday Pastor Greg Dawson from Tuscan, AZ flew in with Serge and Katie Lapare, dear friends that were a major part of starting Heartland Baptist Church over 17 years ago. There was 1 salvation decision (Praise the Lord!), and a whole lot of work was put into preparing the basement for use and into finishing the office space. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all of the pastors, evangelist, and brothers in Christ that traveled so far and helped so much!
